About Me
I am a highly qualified Teacher who successfully helps prepare children for the Lancaster Grammar School Entrance Exams.
The process is initiated with a series of Assessments in each of the key subjects which last approximately 50 minutes in total. Afterwards, I speak to the child's parents to give them a candid appraisal of my findings and to discuss the way forward.
The teaching is done on a one-to-one basis and each lesson lasts one hour. During each lesson I teach some Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning. Homework is also provided in each subject. I keep parents informed of their child's progress as it is important we all work as a cohesive team.
The lessons are progressive and spaced at two to three week intervals, depending on need, during the first two terms. As the Entrance Examination approaches, I start timed weekly Mock Examinations in the style of the 'real' papers. These are carefully contructed to be progressive and an indication of what to expect.
For those interested, I conduct a full morning of Mock Papers in the style of Lancaster Grammar School Entrance Examinations, two weeks before the 'actual' examinations.
